To acknowledge and honor contributions made by German immigrants and their descendants to Bastrop County, the Bastrop County Historical Society is pleased to present Lone Star and Eagle: German Immigration to Texas, an exhibit on loan from Humanities Texas. The scope of the exhibit is broadened by the inclusion of artifacts provided by the Rockne Museum, Rockne, TX and select items from the Bastrop County Historical Society?s collection. The content of this exhibit represents the history of early German settlers in New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, Sisterdale, Rockne and Bastrop, Texas.
