My name is Sheyenne Alvarez, and I'm a cheerleader and resource for business! I grew up in rural Montana and watched my father struggle to keep a business afloat, with virtually zero resources to help him and no access to capital. As I grew up, I learned more about business and money and the disparity in access to capital in certain populations. Women, minorities, veterans, and people in low to moderate income areas are under served, and PeopleFund aims to help close that gap. I love being a part of an organization working to create economic justice. I generally work with people wanting to start new businesses, or with folks who can't access traditional capital from their banks. The goal is to help provide resources - educational and financial - to help businesses grow and get into a position where they can approach their home banks and get a "Yes, absolutely we want to loan to you" after they've built a stronger foundation.
