Mission U-Too to change name to Feed the Need Missions

The Bastrop-based nonprofit, Mission U-Too, is officially changing its name to Feed the Need Missions on
October 1, 2017. This new name better reflects what they do and who they serve as they continue to provide
weekly hot meals to anyone in need, as well as disaster relief.

Founded in 2009, the Christian nonprofit’s focus of providing a hot meal each week in communities across
Texas will remain the same. The nonprofit will continue to serve weekly at their site locations across Texas,
including Bastrop, Smithville, Giddings, Stony Point, and Justin, as well as provide disaster relief when
    needed.

This new name was announced this past weekend at their sixth annual Feed the Need Annual Gala.
President Jonah Beyer said at the event, “this rebranding has really been on our heart for a couple of years,
and this past year it actually came together. We are changing the name of the organization to something that
fits us quite well, and we are super excited about it. We are looking forward to what God does with this new
brand as we continue to spread this ministry.”

“Feed the Need Missions is easier to explain for volunteers and for new people who haven’t heard about us.
Our new logo is easy to recognize and will benefit our organization as we grow over time,” explained Vice
President Jason Bray. “It’s going to look different, but it’s the same organization.”

Currently the organization serves about 6,000 meals each month at their six weekly site locations. Most
recently in response to the Hurricane Harvey disaster, the organization has served over 27,000 meals so far
in Smithville, Bastrop, Giddings, La Grange, Houston, Katy, Portland and Bloomington to flood victims, first
responders, and volunteers, and has plans to continue serving as needed while clean up continues.

This next year, Feed the Need Missions plans to expand to more weekly communities across Texas, including
the Bastrop area, and possibly the Denton and Katy areas.

Beginning October 1, 2017, the new website address for the nonprofit will be feedtheneed.org and all social
media handles will be changed to Feed the Need Missions.
