Downtown restaurateurs have teamed up again to bring the 2017 Cowboy Pub Crawl in historic downtown Bastrop. The Cowboy Pub Crawl is slated to take place on Saturday, August 5th, from 12 to 3 p.m. “This is our first attempt at a day time crawl, but with the wonderful Homecoming & Rodeo festivities happening that weekend, we figured what better way to bring old friends and family together than to celebrate downtown,” said Main Street Director Sarah O’Brien. Attendees are encouraged to come downtown early and enjoy the annual Homecoming & Rodeo Parade which begins at 10 a.m. The 2017 Cowboy Crawl participants are: Old Town Restaurant & Bar, 931 Main Street, Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard, 601 Chestnut Street, Viejo’s Tacos & Tequila, 912 Main Street, Grace Miller’s 706 Pine Street, and Copper Shot Distillery 601 Chestnut, Suite E.   “We are excited that Gracie’s has decided to join in on the fun during this event, ” said Main Street Director Sarah O’Brien. All of our stops will also have lunch specials happening for attendees to enjoy.

Tickets for the Cowboy Crawl are available online at: https://www.bastropdowntown.com/cowboy-pub-crawl.  Remaining tickets will be available the afternoon of the event for purchase in person at the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, 927 Main Street. Only 120 wristbands will be sold. Wristband pickup for all ticket holders will take place from 11:30-1:00 p.m. at the Chamber. The first 50 attendees who show up in a cowboy hat will get a free official event t-shirt.  Your $25 ticket price gets you samples at all 5 locations, and a souvenir koozie. Attendees are encouraged to check in with their Bastrop class mates and enjoy the event as a group. “Safety is always a top priority for us so there is no entry fee for designated drivers,” said Rhonda Potter, event co-chair with the Old Town Restaurant & Bar. Attendees may also contact Bastrop Rides to schedule a safe ride home in advance by calling (512) 920-3678 or emailing them at pickmeup@bastrop-rides.com.

Wristband holders must be 21 years of age or older and will have to show ID.  “We hope this event continues to grow and becomes a destination event for folks to enjoy downtown,” said event Co-Chair Tara Chez Britton with Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard.
