Join us for our Monthly Luncheon for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, an excellent opportunity to meet and network with your fellow Chamber members!


DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND BUSINESS RECOVERY


Speaker:  Justen Noakes, Executive Director, BeforeDuringAfter

Justen Noakes is the BeforeDuringAfter program's Executive Director, a TEXSAR division.

Justen has 30 years of retail business and industry experience, 20 years of emergency preparedness experience, and over 10 years of experience at TEXSAR. Mr. Noakes previously served as the Director of Emergency Preparedness at H-E-B, where he led the company through 29 Major Disaster Declarations from 2004 to 2024, most notably Hurricane Rita, Hurricane Ike, Hurricane Harvey, Memorial Day Floods, the West Texas Explosion, the Bastrop Complex Wildfire, Winter Storm Uri, and COVID-19.

Justen represents the “Search and Rescue” and “Business and Industry” sectors for the Governor-appointed Texas Emergency Management Advisory Council (TEMAC) and has previously served on the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) to the Governor, Commissioner for the Bexar County ESD2 Fire Department, TEXSAR CEO and TEXSAR Board of Directors. Mr. Noakes has published papers on business continuity at Sam Houston State University and has been featured in Texas Monthly for his work in Emergency Preparedness.


Luncheon Guidelines for Members and Future Members

  • Luncheons are held the 1st Wednesday of every month, except July.
  • Hours are 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Members can register online through their Info Hub account page under Events, by accessing the Chamber Calendar through our website (www.bastropchamber.com), or by contacting the Chamber staff at (512) 303-0558. 
  • Members also can be added to the master registration list at the office to be included in all luncheons.  All Master Luncheon Registration List additions must be accompanied by a valid credit card to be kept on file with the Chamber.
  • Our monthly Luncheons are an optional event and a fee is required to attend.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration.
    • Members - $25 per person when pre-registered, $35 late registration.
    • Future Members - $35 per person when pre-registered, $45 late registration.
    • Late or on-site registrations will be allowed if space permits.
    • Online registrations cut off at 3:00pm on the Monday prior to the Luncheon.  
    • No refunds or credits are offered after this time due to catering and convention headcounts confirmations being submitted.
    • Online payments can be made by credit card (MC, Visa, Discover, AMEX) or ACH.

Important Notice:

  • To ensure inclusion in all event signage and promotional materials, all invoices must be paid in full no later than two (2) weeks prior to the event date. Unpaid invoices after this deadline will result in exclusion from signage. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • DEADLINE TO BE INCLUDED IN MARKETING MATERIALS IS ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE LUNCHEON.
  • NO REFUNDS READ OUR REFUND POLICY.

Programming Guidelines
 Programming is informational in nature and of general interest to Chamber Members and community members who attend.  
  • Luncheon Programming and Sponsors are determined in the fall of each year for the following calendar year. 
  • The Monthly Luncheon cannot be a fundraising opportunity for organizations.
  • Requests to make an announcement during the Program will be considered at the discretion of the President. Any request must be submitted in writing and discussed with the President at least one week prior to the Luncheon.
  • The Monthly Luncheon is a networking opportunity, so members may still hand out items personally to individuals at the luncheons for networking purposes or at the designated general information table.
  • The ability to hand out literature/promotional items on the luncheon tables is reserved exclusively for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, the luncheon Title and Partner Sponsors, and the luncheon speaker. No other handouts, information, gift items, or literature can be placed on the luncheon tables.  If any is found, the member will be asked to remove them. 
Exceptions to any of these guidelines require approval from the Board of Directors.
