The Lost Pines Garden Club provides information on the opportunities and challenges of gardening in the Bastrop County area. The Jan 9 program will be "Gardening for Wildlife: From Patterns to Details" which will describe goal setting (e.g. encouraging or discouraging deer), wildlife needs and the key elements to creating habitat, techniques for maintaining a sustainable system, and ways to measure success. Marcia Karr is a Texas Master Naturalist. The meeting will include a brief update on the Bastrop Library Makerspace project. Meetings start at 6:30 pm with snacks and socialization followed by club business and a program by "gardening gurus" until 8:00 pm. The meetings are open to the public. Go to www.lostpinesgardenclub.org for more information on our Club.
