Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Announces Hiring of Communication & Media Manager
 
Bastrop, Texas (March 20, 2023) – The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff has announced the hiring of Kornyan Bailey as the Communications & Media Manager. His primary focus will be to administer the Chamber brand, manage social media platforms, delivering communications standards and the promotion of the organization.
 
“The Chamber is excited to welcome Mr. Bailey to our team; his expertise working as a videographer, graphic designer, and his technical background will bring a new perspective to the Bastrop Chamber,” said Becki Womble, Bastrop Chamber President and CEO. “Kornyan is replacing Corbin Wright who is being deployed to active duty on May 15, 2023. The Chamber is blessed to have these two talented individuals working together over the next 5 weeks to ensure a smooth transition.”
 
Mr. Bailey comes to the Chamber with nearly a decade of experience working customer service resolving customer’s technical challenges, working with actors and company art directors, educating students how to set up technical settings on cameras, as well as teaching Adobe Suite to edit and correct film footage. Most recently, he worked at The Art Institute of Austin on Main Street as an Assistant Enrollment Counselor assisting students with enrollment applications, resolving daily classroom needs of instructors and students. Since 2018, Kornyan has done freelance photography, graphic design, and videography. Kornyan’s greatest pride and joy is being a father to Braylen, and husband to Selena.
 
“I have a passion for creating stunning visual elements through many different media forms, and my diverse skillset aligns perfectly with the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce goals. I am honored and excited to use my passion and diverse skillset to serve the Bastrop Community,” said Mr. Bailey. 
 
Mr. Bailey will be introduced to the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce membership during their monthly luncheon on April 5, after officially beginning on March 17.  The membership is invited to come and meet Mr. Bailey at the Chamber office any time during the week, or at any of our upcoming events over the next few weeks.
