Bastrop chamber of commerce ESTABLISHES CHAMBER FOUNDATION

Bastrop, TX (July 20, 2023) - The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the establishment of the Chamber Foundation of Bastrop County, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the economic, educational, and cultural vitality of our beloved county. With the shared vision of creating a prosperous and thriving community, the foundation aims to foster innovation, support local businesses, and empower the businesses and residents of the greater Bastrop County region.

As a subsidiary of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, the goals of the Chamber Foundation include providing education and development of Bastrop County's economic, civic, cultural, and social welfare. By promoting economic development and supporting local initiatives, this will create an even more vibrant and prosperous business environment in our region. Our foundation's formation reflects our commitment to social responsibility and our desire to make a lasting impact in the region we serve.

Becki Womble, President and CEO of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, expressed her enthusiasm for this new endeavor, stating, "The establishment of the Chamber Foundation of Bastrop County marks a significant milestone in our Chamber’s 100 plus year history and shows our continued commitment to fostering a vibrant and thriving community. We firmly believe that by coming together and addressing the challenges and opportunities facing our region, we can create a more prosperous future for us all."

The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce received the Certificate of Filing and Employer Identification Number (EIN) this week for the establishment of the Chamber Foundation of Bastrop County. The action to form the foundation was taken by the Chamber Board of Directors at their May 17, 2023, meeting and is part of their 2023-2025 Strategic Plan.
