RANKED 5th IN AUSTIN BUSINESS JOURNAL 2023 BOOK OF LISTS
 
Bastrop, TX (July 24, 2023) —The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that they have been ranked #5 by the Austin Business Journal in the 2023 Book of Lists of Austin-Area Chambers, moving up from #6 in 2022.  The ranking is based on paying members of the organization and demonstrates the continued strong growth in the business community and commitment to the Bastrop region.

“We are excited that our strategic planning, advocacy efforts, and hard work are paying off,” said Becki Womble, Bastrop Chamber President and CEO. “As a Chamber, we are proud of how our business community is flourishing. This ranking is the visible embodiment of the Bastrop Chamber’s commitment to improve and grow our local economy.”

The Austin Business Journal website states that the 2023 list of Austin-area chambers of commerce is open to chambers in the five-county coverage area that includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, and Caldwell counties. The list includes chambers representing local townships and geographical areas, as well as chambers representing groups by age, ethnicity, gender, and gender identity, and is ranked by local membership.

2023 Board Chair Evan Moilan said, “The nearly 800 members involved in the Bastrop chamber, not only rank Bastrop in the top five chambers in the region, but also demonstrate our community's commitment to business, and our businesses' commitment to making an impact in our community. Together we are at the heart of business.”

The mission of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce is "To improve business prosperity and, thereby, the quality of life in Bastrop County, through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration." Currently, the Chamber serves a membership of nearly 800 members throughout Bastrop County and Central Texas.
