“We are excited that our strategic planning, focus and hard work is paying off.”  said Becki Womble, Bastrop Chamber President and CEO. “Every day we strive to exceed expectations of our Chamber members and business community. As a Chamber, we have had to creatively re-think how we operate in this time of social distancing and adjust to a new normal for operating a business during COVID-19. Our business community is responding favorable.”
The Austin Business Journal website states that, “The 2020 list of Austin-area chambers of commerce is open to chambers in the five-county coverage area that includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. The list includes chambers representing local townships and geographical areas, as well as chambers representing groups by age, ethnicity, gender and gender identity. The list is ranked by local membership.”
2020-2021 Board Chair Lori Tuggle said, “The Austin-area list of 30 chambers of commerce within the five neighboring counties includes some of the fastest growing areas of Texas.  The fact that our Bastrop Chamber has consistently moved up in membership numbers over the last three (3) years to a #5 ranking this year is a perfect example of how dynamic and vibrant our chamber has become.  Becki and her team are energetic and creative, and the business community is responding with their membership and participation.  This high level of involvement and interaction is good for our businesses and for our Bastrop community overall.”
