Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Announces Hiring of Project & Events Coordinator

Bastrop, Texas (September 4, 2023) – The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff has announced the hiring of Angela Rawlinson as their first Project and Events Coordinator.
"We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Ms. Rawlinson as the newest member of our expanding Chamber team. Angela's extensive background in Chamber operations, including her past role at the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, adds valuable experience to our staff. With a notable track record as a former elected official in Caldwell County, Angela embodies the utmost professionalism. The addition of Angela bolsters our Chamber team, enhancing our capabilities to proficiently manage projects and produce successful events," remarked Becki Womble, President and CEO of the Bastrop Chamber. "Her diligence and exceptional work ethic have already shone through, underscoring her commitment to excellence."
Outside the Chamber office, Angela finds solace in her county living outside of Lockhart. During her leisure hours, she indulges in gardening and the arts of crochet, sewing and quilting. “I am confident in my ability to excel in this new role,” citing her passion for aiding and supporting others on staff at the Bastrop Chamber. “I am eager to embrace this new challenge and to connect with Chamber members.” Ms. Rawlinson's roots in Bastrop County run deep, having been raised in Smithville and completing her education at Smithville High School. She has been married to her husband Greg for 10 years. She has two grown children—a daughter and a son. Notably, her greatest source of pride and joy is her two grandchildren.
Ms. Rawlinson begins her role as Project & Events Coordinator on Monday, September 4, reporting to Vice President, Jami Haney. Her responsibilities will center around key initiatives such as the BEST Leadership Program, coordinating visits to We Believe in BISD campuses, managing the Wish List for those visits, and serving as the dedicated staff liaison for the Education Committee. In addition, she will oversee the annual fundraising through the Gun Raffle Calendar and manage the all-encompassing Master Calendar for all Chamber-related events. Angela's official introduction to the Bastrop Chamber membership will take place during the monthly luncheon on Wednesday, September 6. Alternatively, individuals are encouraged to visit the office for a personal introduction and interaction with her.
