Visit Bastrop Honors Local, Hometown Heroes Amid Worldwide Pandemic

WHAT: Visit Bastrop has launched an initiative dedicated to spotlighting the unsung heroes in our lives and communities. We are inviting all of Bastrop to give a “Hometown Holler” to someone who they think has gone above and beyond during these trying times. The mask-making Mama, your favorite cashier at the local grocery store, the neighborhood kid who mows your lawn and anyone in between. Those who receive a “holler” will be entered for a chance to receive some local gifts and prizes, we’re talking about the good stuff. So, come get loud and let's hear a holler for our heroes.

WHY: “We are taking this time to engage our local community shine the spotlight on these special folks in our hometown. The goal of this project is simple. To highlight our local heroes and give them a little thank you for all they do.” according to President/CEO Susan Smith.
