Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Sept 11

The Lost Pines Garden Club provides information on the opportunities and challenges of gardening in the Bastrop County area.  The program for our Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Tuesday Sep 11 will be “Members Helping Members” and “Bastrop Library Garden and Makerspace”.  The “Members Helping Members” aspect will be members informally describing their experiences and lessons learned (good and bad) related to gardening.  The “Bastrop Library garden” aspect will a summary of the purpose of the garden and overview of the plants, rationale for plant selection, and care.  A third aspect will be a brief summary of the Bastrop Library Makerspace program (3D printer, CAD PCs, CNC cutter) used by children and adults including those in the Sumer children’s program that our club supports.  We will also briefly introduce our 2019 plant sale/silent auction/quilt raffle.

Our meeting starts at 6:30 pm at the Bastrop Public Library with snacks and socialization, club business starting at 7:00 pm followed by the program.
