Emerging Business of the Year Nomination

Emerging Business of the Year Award Criteria:

The Emerging Business of the Year Award honors businesses that have contributed to the economic vitality of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce trade area and shown remarkable faith in its future.

Eligible businesses must have been in operation for less than five years and be members in good standing with the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce.

Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

• Exhibit a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and determination to succeed.
• Implement innovative approaches or initiatives to benefit the business and/or its customers.
• Prioritize purchasing goods and services locally whenever possible.
• Foster an excellent working relationship between business owners/upper management and their employees.
• Maintain a reputation for integrity and exemplary customer service within the community.
• Engage in or support community activities through participation, sponsorship, or volunteerism.
• Positively influence and impact the local business community.
• Members of the Board of Directors and the Nominations Committee are not eligible.

Incomplete nomination forms will not be considered.

Nominations are accepted year-round, but to be considered for recognition at the January Award Luncheon and Chamber Banquet, applications must be submitted by the second Friday in November at 5:00 p.m.
