Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Tuesday April 9
The Lost Pines Garden Club provides information on the opportunities and challenges of gardening in the Bastrop County area. The program for our Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Tuesday April 9 will be "Native Vegetation in our Landscaping”. This program will by Jayson May, Lost Pines State Parks Complex Resource Specialist, who will be providing information on the importance of having native vegetation in your landscaping layout, which native plants work for this area, and why buying a plant that is “native to Texas” won’t always work in your favor (hint: let’s talk about soil!).
We will also discuss our March 29-30 plant sale, silent auction, and quilt raffle to support the Bastrop Library Summer Children’s program. We raised approximately $11,181 to support this great cause. Thanks and congratulations to the hard work by the club volunteers who supported this event.
Our club meeting starts at 6:30 pm at the Bastrop Public Library with snacks and socialization, club business starting at 7:00 pm followed by the program. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.
