As we honor the birth of our Nation!

A Water Wonderland for the kids, contests, a petting zoo, a Car Show with the Bastrop Area Cruisers, children's activity area, a DJ playing music all day, a washer (with cash prizes) and domino tournament, tons of awesome food & treats, the Austin Symphonic band and of course, FIREWORKS!

Shuttle Bus Service
from Convention Center               3pm-11pm
Why walk all that way to your car? Let us Shuttle you in our yellow school busses right to where all the action is!  The Convention Center is located at 1408 Chestnut Street.
 
Zumba in the Park           10 am
Do you love to dance?  One of Bastrop’s finest Zumba instructors will be teaching a free class for your fitness pleasure.  Work off all those hot dogs and hamburgers you’ll be eating later!
 
Petting Zoo        10am-4pm
Bastrop is home to all kinds of animals, but on July 1st the Chamber will be bringing in some exotic options for young and old to get up and personal with about 10 different species of exotic animals! Including kangaroos and lemurs.  Yay!
 
Sand Volleyball games 10am-4pm
Do you love volleyball? We will have the courts opened and ready for players! Get a team or just bring yourself, and let’s play some volleyball!
 
Water Wonderland 10am-8pm
Have your kids been begging you to take them to Schlitterbahn? Well, for the purchase of a wrist band they will have all day access to multiple water slides of all kinds! Come cool off and find some adventure in our Water Wonderland! Be sure to bring your water shoes! (Soccer Field)
 
Children’s Activity
& Vendor Area 10am-8pm
Games & crafts galore! We will have several free activities as well as booths with activities you can pay for.  Lowes will be there to help them build something for free!  (Lower Basketball Court)
 
Tae Kwon-Do Exhibition 11am-12pm
Unified Bastrop Tae Kwon-Do will be holding exhibition matches for the public between black belt students ranging from 1st to 5th degree.  Come see this amazing display of martial arts!
 
Washer Tournament                11am-2pm

Domino’s Tournament           11am-1pm

The Bastrop Honor Choir will perform some of your patriotic favorites! (Upper Parking Lot Stage)
 
Hot Pepper Eating Contest          1pm
Can you handle the heat!?!? How many can you eat and how fast can you do it??  Brought to you by Whataburger! (Upper Pavilion)
 
Leg Shaving Contest 2pm
Grab the whipped cream and the toy razors! How well do you and your partner work together? That’s the big question!!! (Upper Pavilion)
 
Seed Spitting  Contest 3pm
The Kevin White Group of Keller Williams Realty is bringing fruit for your spitting pleasure! (Upper Pavilion)
 
Pie Eating Contest 4pm
Only in Bastrop can you enter a pie eating contest sponsored by the Award-WINNING Maxine’s Café & Bakery! Their pies are so good, it won’t matter if you win, you’ll be excited just to be playing! (Upper Pavilion)
 
Bastrop Area Cruisers
Car Show & Parade 4pm-9pm
Vintage cars will be on display for your viewing enjoyment at the Boat Ramp parking lot! (Lower Parking Lot)
 
Hot Dog Eating Contest 5pm
Hungry? Nothing more Americana than Hot Dogs on the First of July! Come be a true patriot and demonstrate how well you can eat a true American Classic!!! (Upper Pavilion)
