Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Tuesday January 12 on composting and soil improvements
The Lost Pines Garden Club provides information on the opportunities and challenges of gardening in the Bastrop County area. The program for our Lost Pines Garden Club meeting on Tuesday February 12 will be "Garden Magic: Composting for soil improvement and environmental stewardship.
The meeting program will be describe ways to use (and not use) compost, mulch, and other soil amendments to improve your garden and landscape. The program will also explain how composting turns “waste into gold for your garden” and is good for our environment. This program will be by Phil Gosh of Organics by Gosh.
We will also discuss our upcoming plant sale, silent auction, and quilt raffle to support the Bastrop Library Summer Children’s program.
Our club meeting starts at 6:30 pm at the Bastrop Public Library with snacks and socialization, club business starting at 7:00 pm followed by the program. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.
