My family moved to Bastrop County in 2006 when I began working as an administrator in Smithville ISD. I moved here with my lovely wife and two young children. Today, my wife is still lovely but those two young children are grown and moved out. However, the two children we added are still at home and finishing high school (Smithville HS and Founders).
In 2021, after 27 years in public education I joined the team at WoodmenLife where I still get to help educate people and help families solve problems. I have enjoyed getting to know the business community of Bastrop County as well as the people outside the school system.
