Steps to your best headshot:
• Be well rested
• Eat a good breakfast or lunch
• Arrive early so you are not rushed
• Consider the type of personality you want to present in your photograph and think
thoughts that help you communicate that
• Bring along a few personal grooming items such as a brush, comb, small make-up
bag, etc. incase you need it.
• BEWARE OF FLY-AWAYS! Those pesky hairs that just never want to stay
neatly inline with the rest. A touch of hairspray or gel can tame those beasts!
• Ladies: light natural makeup is best for an all-around headshot but feel free to be
yourself!
• Gentlemen: Neatly trimmed facial hair and fresh shave.
• Don’t forget jewelry selection!

Attire:
Your attire choice is totally up to you; we want to make sure you present the person you
want your clients to see. However, here are some great tips!
• Avoid loud colors, stripes, checkers, or bold patterns in general; they can distract
from your photograph
• Avoid shirts with logos, phrases etc.; unless it is a company shirt, of course.
• Neutrals, earth tones and muted colors typically look the best. But again, be
yourself!
• Dress for success!
