TAB Announces New Chair, Board Officers for 2025

Austin, TX – The Texas Association of Business (TAB) today announced that Bill Jones, formerly TAB’s Treasurer and Vice Chair, will serve as the 2025 Chairman of the TAB board of directors. Jones, an accomplished attorney with a distinguished track record, brings invaluable expertise to TAB. His extensive experience – including serving as General Counsel to former Texas Governor Rick Perry, serving as Chairman Emeritus of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents and representing companies before a variety of Texas state agencies – positions him to provide critical leadership as TAB continues to work with state leaders to further strengthen Texas’ world-class business environment.

“I am honored to serve as Chairman of the Texas Association of Business,” said incoming TAB Chairman Bill Jones. “I look forward to working with TAB members, stakeholders, and leaders across the state, including the Governor, Lt. Governor, Speaker, and the entire legislative body, to promote the interests of Texas businesses. Let’s saddle up and ride!”

Immediate Past Chair Massey Villarreal added: “As we welcome Bill Jones as Chairman, I know his expertise and vision will guide TAB into an exciting future. Serving as Chairman has been a tremendous privilege, and I am proud to continue supporting TAB’s mission to keep Texas the best state for business.”
