Voter Deputy Registrar Training

Voter Deputy Registrar Training

Thursday, August 27, 2026 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

A Volunteer Deputy Registrars' work empowers communities, boosts voting engagement, and helps every voice have the chance to be heard.

Becoming a VDR is a meaningful way to make a difference – one voter at a time. Volunteer Deputy Registrars are entrusted with the responsibility of officially registering voters in the State of Texas. They are appointed by county voter registrars and charged with helping increase voter registration in the state. If you wish to become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar, renew your expired certification, or receive reciprocity based on certification in another Texas county, you must appear in person and complete the required training session. Once complete, you will receive your Certificate of Appointment and supply packet. Those seeking reciprocity from another Texas County must attend an abbreviated training session and bring their Certificate of Appointment for the current cycle.
