Event Description:
Cybersecurity is the practice of defending computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks. It is becoming a bigger issue when using technology and operating a business. At this educational opportunity we will discuss:
  • What motivates cybercriminals? Know the enemy.
  • Understanding that we're at war.
  • How we fight the war?
  • What can we do to help protect our businesses, employees, and customers personally identifiable information (PII)?
Our presenter & speaker is Britt Siedentopf:
Britt has worked in the information technology space for over 20 years, helping organizations in the US, Japan, Canada, India, and Mexico assess, strategize and manage the information technology that runs their organizations. Britt has also consulted the media, managed service providers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) on information technology management best practices as well as protecting your personal or organizations personally identifiable information (PII).  Britt has been recognized as a subject matter expert through multiple media outlets including Fox News. More recently he has been involved in developing a cybersecurity training platform that has been certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources to meet the mandate of Texas House Bill 3834.
