A Sales Support / Project Manager is a critical position within the company. In order for LS to grow and ultimately take market share we must be easier to do business with than our competitors. No other differentiator (including product) is more critical to growth.
We are seeking a motivated self-starter for a Sales Support & Project Manger position in our company. He/She will be responsible, among other things, for coordinating project activities, maintaining and updating the project schedule, managing assignments, monitoring progress and communicating to the project team.
The Sales Support & Project Manger will report to the Sales manager(s) and assist with preparing action plans, analyzing risk and managing resources. He/She will work closely with the Sales manager(s) and the project team, so strong communications skills are a must. His/Her mission is to help the project meet quality standards and deliver on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Support & Project Manger will be part of an entrepreneurial team with the exiting task of establishing and growing a new business venture, with the support, resources and products of a globally established company behind them.
• Support sales by request, receive and analyze local scope (Transportation (Ocean & Inland, Often Overweight and oversized), Installation and insulation oil) in timely manner.
• Manage projects for an assigned account from the moment order handover to the completion of the project
. • Develop overall project execution schedule, communication plan, project budget plan, and risk management plan • Review contractual requirements and communicate customers’ expectations with relevant organizations inside and outside the company
• Manage and track milestones of the project and all deliverables to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Coordinate with internal organizations to investigate and resolve commercial and technical issues of the project to maximize customers satisfaction
• Coordinate with customer and partner companies for transportation and fieldwork
• Support Sales manager(s) in administrative duties and processes
• Schedule meetings and keep minutes
• Breakdown project into doable tasks and estimate duration • Assist with planning, from start to finish of project
• Prepare and distribute project materials
• Implement policies and procedures
• Create weekly workflow
• Order resources/Management
• Track expenses and work on budget forecast
• Monitor progress
• Alert the Sales manager(s) to issues as they arise
• Report on team and project performance
• Act as point of contact for project team and facilitate communications
• Assess project risk
• Calculate project metrics, such as quality, costs, health, etc.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to project assistants
• Collaborate on stakeholder presentations
• Foster positive relationship with stakeholders
• Manage Value/Supply chains
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have the following prerequisites: • Bachelor’s degree in business-related or engineering required • 2+ years of related experience in B2B project management preferred • Knowledge of project management disciplines and process, flowcharts, technical documentation, etc • Must be able to read Contract and understand the requirements of the contract • Must be familiar with and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, ERP and other applicable software • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely required. • Complex problem-solving skills are required. • Expertise in the energy/critical power industry is preferred • Team player • Deadline-driven • Organized and focused • Computer literate • Certifications a plus • Expert understanding ofservice and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative • Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Additional information Travel is 10-20% on average but will be directed any time.
