Location: Bastrop, TX (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Reports To: Clinic Manager


About the Role

Wound Care America, a standalone outpatient wound care clinic, is hiring an LVN to assist in the assessment and treatment of patients with acute and chronic wounds.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with wound assessments, measurement, and documentation under established protocols
  • Perform wound care procedures: dressing changes, basic debridement (as permitted by license), advanced therapies (NPWT, compression therapy)
  • Educate patients/caregivers on wound care and home self-management
  • Monitor healing progress and report changes to supervising RN/physician
  • Document accurately and timely in the EHR, Wound Expert
  • Coordinate with referring physicians and specialists
  • Identify and escalate signs of infection, complications, or non-healing wounds
  • Maintain infection control compliance and manage supply inventory

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active LVN license in Texas
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2+ years of clinical nursing experience

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of wound care experience
  • LVN wound care certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
  • EHR experience; familiarity with advanced wound therapies

Skills & Attributes

Strong clinical assessment, clear communication, meticulous documentation, and compassion for patients managing chronic or complex wounds. Comfortable standing/bending for hands-on procedures.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $50,000–$65,000/year, based on experience
  • Health/dental/vision, PTO
