Job Title: Bastrop Production Technology Manager
Location: 409 Technology Dr, Bastrop, TX 78602


Reports To: Plant Manager

The Production Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of advanced technologies and automation in the production process. Production Technology Manager is in charge of maintaining and operating all production facilities. This role ensures that the manufacturing operations leverage cutting-edge solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality while reducing costs and downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Line Management: • Maintaining and operating production facilities in productions line. • Repairing production facilities if it has problem. • Co-working with HQ members to improve and optimize facilities. • Learning new production facilities that are helpful to improve production efficiency.

2. Process Optimization: • Identify areas for improvement in production workflows through data analysis and technology-driven solutions. • Develop and implement strategies to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resources. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

3. Managing Production Documents: • Managing and creating production documents such as operating manuals, work instruction, flow-chart and QC process chart. If some documents are not prepared, create documents to improve production facilities. • Improve and optimize documents for operators.

4. Team Leadership & Training: • Manage a team of technical specialists and engineers to support production technology initiatives. • Provide training for operators and technicians on new technologies, systems and facilities. • Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability within the team.

5. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of production technologies and facilities. • Address and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of critical spare parts and tools. • Co-work with the quality manager to maintain all facilities.

6. Continuous Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in production workflows, implementing best practices to enhance overall operational performance.

7. Labor Efficiency & Performance Monitoring: • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring labor efficiency and utilization rates. • Analyze labor data to identify trends, set benchmarks, and recommend process improvements. • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure optimal workforce deployment and alignment with production goals.

8. Collaboration & Reporting: • Work closely with the Production, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D teams to align technology initiatives with organizational goals. • Prepare and present reports on technology and facility performance, ROI, and other KPIs to senior management. • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

9. Data-Driven Decision Making: • Collect and analyze production data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle times, downtime, and labor efficiency. • Generate detailed reports on production performance and present insights to management. • Use data to drive decisions that enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology or engineering roles. • Strong analytical skills with experience in labor rate and performance monitoring. • Proficient in automation systems, robotics, and production management software. • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • Proficiency in production software tools. • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. • Excellent communication skills preferred. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams. • English skill is necessary.

Production technology manager should control all of production facilities in Bastrop Campus. Also, make plans to improve production efficiency. When the production line is added or modified, production technology manager oversees manage this.
