Monumental Woodworks Unveils "Heartwood Revival" Initiative and Vision for Major Arts Festival in Bastrop
BASTROP, TEXAS – Monumental Woodworks LLC, a Central Texas-based production company, has officially launched its operations in Bastrop with a mission to fuse elite artistic talent with community legacy.
Led by Project Director Dusty Kosmach, the company has introduced Heartwood Revival, a community initiative dedicated to reclaiming flood-salvaged timber and transforming it into lasting public assets. This initiative focuses on "healing the heart" of the community by turning debris into art.
"Our goal is to be the strategic partner for monumental art in Central Texas," says Kosmach. "We believe in building permanent public legacies that drive tourism and community pride."
In addition to its reclamation work, Monumental Woodworks has unveiled plans for the Texas Chainsaw Art Festival (TCAF), a proposed high-stakes invitational event slated for February 2027. The project is designed to bring the world’s elite Master Carvers to Bastrop to create a permanent, 25-foot "Legacy Carve" sculpture for the city.
